Ragazzi: Our School Readiness Room For 4 To 5 Year Olds In Horsley Park
Ragazzi is our preschool room at Little Blossoms Academy in Horsley Park, preparing 4 to 5 year olds for big school. We build school readiness the healthy way — through confidence, independence, focus and social skills, not flash cards. Your child walks into kindergarten feeling capable and excited, because they already know how to have a go.
School Ready Means Confident, Not Crammed
We prepare children for school by growing the skills that actually predict a happy start: confidence, self-help, concentration and getting along with others. We deliberately do not drill phonics, writing or number worksheets — because pressure at this age does more harm than good, and our approach is built on that belief.
What Makes Ragazzi Different
Confidence And Independence
Your child learns to manage their own belongings, ask for help, follow instructions and make choices. These self-help skills are what teachers notice first — and remember most — in kindergarten.
Fine Motor Strength For Writing
Threading, cutting, drawing and building strengthen the little hand muscles your child needs to hold a pencil comfortably. We build the foundation — school builds the letters on top of it.
Social And Emotional Skills
Turn-taking, resolving small conflicts, listening in a group and naming feelings prepare your child for a busy classroom of new faces. These are the skills that make school days actually enjoyable.
A Smooth Move To Big School
We support the transition to school with familiar routines, group experiences and plenty of encouragement, so the first day feels exciting rather than scary. Your child leaves Ragazzi ready to walk in.

Questions About Our Ragazzi Room
What age is the Ragazzi room for?
Ragazzi is our preschool and school readiness room for children aged 4 to 5 years at Little Blossoms Academy in Horsley Park. It is the final room before your child starts kindergarten. Many children transition up from our Amici room for 3 to 4 year olds.
Do you teach reading and writing in the preschool room?
We build the foundations for reading and writing through play, fine motor activities and storytelling, but we do not drill formal phonics, writing or number worksheets. Research shows confidence and social skills matter more than early academics for a happy start at school — and that is central to how we approach early learning.
How do you prepare children for the move to school?
We support the transition with familiar routines, group experiences, independence skills and lots of encouragement. This helps your child feel confident and excited on their first day rather than anxious. Book a tour and we can talk through what the transition looks like for your child's start date.
