Everything You Need To Know About Life At Little Blossoms
From your child's first settling-in session to the daily routine, meals, fees and how we keep you connected — this is your guide to life at Little Blossoms Academy in Horsley Park. Have more questions? We love them. Come in for a tour and ask us everything.
A Gentle Start That Goes At Your Child's Pace
Our settling-in program is built around your child's cues, not a fixed schedule. We begin with short visits — first with you present, then gradually increasing the time apart as your child grows more comfortable. Your child's key educator takes the lead, building a consistent, warm relationship before the first full day.
Most children settle within two to three weeks, though every child is different and we never rush it. We will always call if your child is distressed and cannot settle, and we will be honest with you about how each session is really going. Settling is a partnership — we are in it with you.
We Keep You Connected To Every Part Of Your Child's Day
We use Storypark to share learning stories, photos and updates throughout the day. Your key educator posts regularly so you can follow what your child is doing, comment, save moments and share them with family. Storypark is private and secure — only your family can see your child's posts.
Educators are always available at drop-off and pick-up for a face-to-face update, and we send a monthly newsletter with upcoming events, seasonal menus and centre news. Our director is reachable by phone at (02) 9620 2160 or email for anything more pressing. We believe in open, honest conversations — especially when your child needs something.
Five Fresh Meals A Day, Cooked In Our Own Kitchen
Every meal your child eats at Little Blossoms Academy is prepared in our on-site commercial kitchen — five times a day. Our chef follows seasonal menus developed with a registered dietitian, and everything is made from scratch, including our house-made pasta. You will never find reheated pre-packaged meals here.
We cater carefully for allergies, dietary requirements and cultural food preferences. Families can view the current weekly menu in the foyer or ask at the front desk any time. On days when your child is extra hungry, a second helping is always welcome — we never want a child to go without.
Your Child's Health And Safety Is Our First Priority
We follow NSW Health Department exclusion guidelines: if your child has a fever, vomiting, diarrhoea or a contagious illness, we ask that you keep them home until they are symptom-free (48 hours for gastroenteritis). This protects all children and families in the centre.
Every room runs a medical-grade HEPA air purifier, Sensitive Choice approved by the National Asthma Council of Australia. All educators hold current first aid, CPR and anaphylaxis management certifications. Allergy action plans, medication authorities and emergency contacts are held on file, reviewed at enrolment, and updated annually.

Fees And The Child Care Subsidy Explained
Little Blossoms Academy is a Child Care Subsidy (CCS) approved provider. Most eligible families receive a government contribution based on family income, activity level and the number of days in care — meaning the out-of-pocket cost for many Horsley Park families is significantly less than the daily rate.
Our current daily fees vary by room. Please contact our director for up-to-date rates and to discuss availability in your child's age group.
- CCS is assessed by Services Australia on your family income and work or study activity
- You apply through myGov — we can guide you through every step
- Subsidy is paid directly to us; you pay only the remaining gap fee
- Family Tax Benefit recipients may also be eligible for Additional CCS

Talk To Us About FeesQuestions Parents Ask Most Often
How do I start the enrolment process at Little Blossoms Academy?
The easiest first step is to book a tour — meet the team, see the rooms and ask everything on your mind. After your tour, our director will walk you through availability, daily fees and CCS eligibility. You can then complete the enrolment form online or collect a copy at the centre. Enrolment opens once a place is confirmed for your child's age group.
What does my child need to bring each day?
We ask that you bring a clearly labelled bag with a spare change of clothes (two changes in hot or messy weather), a water bottle, sunscreen for outdoor play, and any comfort items your child needs to settle. All five daily meals and snacks are provided by our kitchen — you do not need to pack food unless your child has specific medical requirements that we have agreed with you in advance.
How does the Child Care Subsidy work?
CCS is a government contribution to childcare costs paid directly to the centre on your behalf — you pay only the remaining gap. Eligibility depends on your family income, your activity level (work, study or training) and the age and number of children in care. You apply through myGov (Centrelink). We can help you through the process — contact us or call Services Australia on 136 150 for more information.
What happens if my child becomes unwell at the centre?
We will contact you immediately if your child becomes unwell and cannot be comforted. We follow NSW Health exclusion guidelines and ask that you arrange to collect your child promptly. If we cannot reach a parent or guardian, we will work through your authorised emergency contacts. Please always keep your contact details and emergency contacts up to date in your enrolment record.
